Royal Tunbridge Wells resident Steve Bowen is the Site Manager at Knights Wood, the stunning development of new homes currently being built on the edge of the town by Dandara, one of the UK’s largest independent property developers.
Away from work, one of Steve’s favourite pastimes is supporting Tunbridge Wells Football Club and he lives just ten minutes’ walk away from the Culverden Stadium, where Tunbridge Wells FC plays its home games.
Fans visiting the Culverden during the 2014/15 season will see Dandara’s advertising hoarding and a half-page advertisement will appear in the programme for every home match.
Speaking about his favourite team, Steve said,
“Knights Wood is going to be a fantastic place to live and I’m pleased to be involved with a development that really will enhance this part of the town. As a Tunbridge Wells FC fan, it’s great to see the Knights Wood hoardings at the Culverden and to see the advertisement in the home programme. I hope that many of the people that move to Knights Wood will go on to support the club.”
Far from being a lonely pastime, Steve is not the only Tunbridge Wells FC fan in the family – his daughter Emily attended her first game at the Culverden when she was just six months old! Emily attends around 10 games a season and on 6 September this year, a day after her seventh birthday, she was a mascot for Tunbridge Wells FC’s home game against Ashford Town. Unfortunately Tunbridge Wells lost 2-0 but despite the result, Emily had a fantastic day!
Terry Exall, Commercial Director at Tunbridge Wells FC said,
“We are delighted that Dandara has chosen the Culverden Stadium as a place to advertise Knights Wood and I’m not surprised to hear that the homes are selling so quickly. For clubs like ours, the support of the local community is vitally important, so I hope to see lots of new faces at the Culverden!!”
